Well, I started on my website FINALLY.. wheeeww... that isn't easy.. But, godaddy makes it pretty user friendly and I am somewhat of a self pronounced computer geek. :) I guess that's a good thing. We finally got some Mixed Media stuff going, I am so excited. Here is one of our projects:
<-------------------------- I love this one, it was so much fun to make!
Mixed media gives me a whole new creative outlet and I am so excited about it. In this particular project we used, beaded jewelry of course, a cricut, pencils, drawing paper, copiic markers, and some card stock. And then used a wonderful camera to catch just the right shot!!
How cool is that? To be able to put multi medias together to make one cool thing. I'm in heaven. :)

Ok, so I tried the Cricut Create once and the YourStory once. I see potential but do I have the time? OMGoodness, I think I do.. :)

Right now I'm still trying to figure out how to create a bracelet by sewing fabric together. HOW TO??? buttons, stretch material, flowers, beads???? shoot... I will keep trying until I get it..

Well, I think I am being drawn to the look and feel of vintage materials. I love the look. It's time to go cruising the local thrift shops to see what treasures I can find.

I found these new pens called copics. Amazing color!! They can even airbrush. BTW, I'm not sure about this "CRICUT CREATE & YourStory" I bought. I can't figure the thing out. Plus at this point I don't have time. Hopefully someday soon. :)

Peace out!!

Air brush class.... fun fun fun

What a great day this was. My husband is fixated on learning air brush, thinks it's an amazing art. I agree but don't feel as passionate as he does about it. For Christmas I got him air brush classes beginning Jan 9, 2010. It was fun!!!

The Art Store

So, my husband and I went to Berkeley to a store called "Blick". It was so freakin amazing. I thought I wanted to get into water colors to brighten up my artwork because it seems when I scan or copy my work it's a bit dull. So then I bought all the supplies to begin watercoloring and did some research, it turns out watercoloring is a bleep <----- bad word!! Sooo, I'm gonna stick to pencil and mixed media stuff.

If anyone knows a better way to bighten up a drawing without using photoshop or corel draw I would love to here your comments on it. :)

Anyhow, later gators.

Ok, so.............about me.

Beth Anne's Arts & Crafts

About me:

I have always been kind of artistic. I loved to draw when I was in high school, it let me express my feelings. I noticed that if I could think of it, I could draw it. In my case a lot of the images I was thinking were kind of creepy, like sharp teeth, blood, roses that were bleeding, etc,. I actually won first place in a drawing contest with my bleeding rose picture. :) too my surprise. Anyhow, back to the point: I soon switched my artistic abilities into guitar were I couldn't get enough, I played and played until my fingers were tough, then I got married and had children.

There the guitar sat in the corner collecting dust for literally years. My two older children are all grown up now, and my youngest is 13, so I have a bit of time to do some crafting and creating to let out some of my pent up artisticness (is that actually a word?). So, I decided to start doing some research online and I bumped into beading by accident.. OMG, I'm hooked. So, now I have been making jewelry left and right, buying beads galore and loving every minute of my life. :) Not like I ever hated it...but, now I feel complete.

After making jewelry for a little while, I was in the craft store and noticed all the beautiful material for sewing and thought, oh my goodness that too could let me vent my artistic abilities too, into something else. So, I went out and bought myself a sewing machine and started sewing purses out of recycled jeans, old shirts, nick nacks, etc,. Not only does this allow me to be creative, I am also getting rid of jeans I bought and never wore, my kids clothing they outgrew, cool scarves and ties not used in years. I guess you could say I am recycling which makes me feel good too..

Here's a few of my projects so far:

Well, I am off to a few doctors appointments, I just recieved a box from UPS, my Cricut Create is here, YES!!!! I will be posting more art I've created soon..

Until next time, good bye :) !!
